There are 2 major international airports in Tokyo.

1) Narita Airport (NRT), about 60 kilometers east of central Tokyo, handles most of the city's international flights and some domestic flights.

2) Haneda Airport (HND), is the closest airport to Tokyo. It's around 30 minutes by train from the center of Tokyo

Getting Around Tips

Transportation in Japan can sometimes be challenging to navigate for foreigners, but assistance is readily available at airport information counters, where you can also purchase train tickets on the spot. Taxis remain a common mode of transport—while some accept credit cards, it's advisable to carry cash as a backup. If you're traveling in a group or with lots of luggages, booking an airport transfer in advance is the most hassle-free option.
